also used adoption services), I realized that adoption was
an option that I had for my baby. She brought me to CSSM
for counseling services.” Birthmother
SINGLE PARENTING
If your circumstances are right, single parenting can
be a very rewarding choice. Sometimes mothers wonder if
they are emotionally, physically, and financially prepared
to parent a child. If you would like help and support
in preparing for single parenting, we will help you explore
your needs and feelings.
ADOPTION PLANNING
Adoption is a special process in which you make all the
choices and decisions. Catholic Social Services offers
open adoption services. You choose your child’s
adoptive parents from among many families seeking to adopt.
You can build a lasting, loving relationship with the
adoptive parents, staying in contact with your child.
Through open adoptions, children grow up understanding
the love and care that surrounds their adoption. Together
with the adoptive parents, you decide how to build a
life-long relationship so your child can grow up feeling
loved and secure.
“Meeting the adoptive couple made
my decision so much easier. Since the birth and placement
of my baby, our relationship has grown. Life is working
out the way I want. I’m in college, just bought a
car and learning to be on my own.” Birthmother |
