SERVICES FOR ADOPTIVE PARENTS
CSSM is a nonprofit corporation, licensed annually by the State
of Montana as an adoption and child-placing agency. We provide
services to those making an adoption plan for a child, and to
those who are seeking to adopt a child.
PREGNANCY SERVICES
We are fully aware of the emotions and issues
of those struggling with unplanned pregnancy. CSSMs staff

make the best possible adoption plan and turn some of the sadness
into joy.

ADOPTION SERVICES
Infant Adoption
Since 1953 CSSM has found quality parents for
infants in Montana. We provide support, encouragement, and understanding
to adoptive parents before, during, and after an adoptive placement.
The requirements for our Infant Program are that the adoptive
couple is married, lives in Montana, and that one or both are
involved in a Christian (Catholic or Protestant) church.
| |
Since we want to make adoption affordable
for Montana families, our fees are on a sliding scale and
are among the lowest in the nation. |
| |
Adoptive parents are well prepared through
required reading, a two-day comprehensive workshop, and informative
interviews. |
International Adoption
International adoption is a rewarding way to
build a family for many couples and single parents. Prospective
adoptive parents must select an international agency which has
the necessary contacts with the other country.
| |
CSSM can help you select a reputable international
agency that meets your needs. |
| |
CSSM provides the education, pre-placement
evaluation (home study), and post-placement services that
international agencies require of their adoptive parents. |
| |
CSSM can refer you to other families who
have adopted from the same country or through the same agency. |
| |
CSSM has no religious requirement. |
Transracial Adoptions
We are committed to the belief that all children
deserve loving, permanent families. When families of the same
color, culture, and ethnic heritage are not available, other families
must be found to meet these childrens needs.
| |
CSSM can help you select a reputable out-of-state-agency
with children available for adoption. |
| |
CSSM provides the education, pre-placement
evaluation, and post-placement services that agencies require
of their adoptive parents. |
| |
CSSM can refer you to other families who
have adopted through the same agency. |
| |
CSSM assists in completing the requirements
of the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC).
|
| |

one another, such as the placement of a child with relatives or
friends.
